Leadership skills is a critical part with any scout and plays a very large role in the efficiency of a troop. Our troop has the patrol structure. Leaders are selected by their peers, holding votes and supporting everyone.
Our youth leadership positions are as listed below.
SPL - Senior Patrol Leader: The SPL is the main leader for the troop.
ASPL - Assistant Senior Patrol Leader: Second in command, takes charge if the SPL cannot attend.
Troop Guide: Leader and Mentor for new scouts joining the troop.
New Scout Patrol Leader: Leader and mentor for new scouts joining patrols.
Patrol Leader: Leader of a "patrol" Group, a leader underneath the SPL and ASPL.
Assistant Patrol Leader: Second in Command under the patrol leader.
OA (Order of the Arrow) Representative: Represents the troop at OA functions and represents the OA at select troop functions.
Quartermaster: In charge of all assets in the troop, including inventory. this includes all storage space, and trailers.
Scribe: takes notes at meetings, documents activities.
Outdoor Ethics Guide: Enforces outdoor ethics, such as leave no trace, and conservation.
Librarian: manages all of the troop's books, checking them in and out.
Webmaster: Manages online presences (YouTube, websites, helpdesk, etc.)
Chaplin aide: Does prayer at meals
As a scout troop, we plan to have at least one summer camp opportunity per summer, these camps are about 1 week, and a couple of camp options are:

Bear Paw Scout Reservation
Tomahawk Scout Reservation
Other outdoor campouts also occur! (weather depending) these usually last anywhere from 2 days to 1 week! some camps we use are:

In scouting achieving the rank of eagle is the highest honor in scouting. to earn eagle, you must complete all other ranks, and a eagle project.
Ranks are in order from lowest to highest:
Scout
Tenderfoot
Second Class
First Class
Star
Life
Eagle
After eagle, scouts can continue to earn awards by completing additional merit badges and earning "Palms" for these.
Order of the Arrow
Order of the Arrow is scouting's national honor society, proving the dedication and service of their members.
In scouting, a advanced training system has been developed and implemented, this is called Youth Protection Training, and is mandatory for all adult leaders and staff members in scouting.

Scouts larger than 2 years of an age gap may NOT tent together
adults may only tent together if married.
