ABOUT TROOP 118
BSA Scout Troop 118 was established in March 2018. Our unit started as R-MA Troop 1892 and migrated to Troop 118 in January 2022, which aligns with our Cub Scout Pack 118.
We meet on Mondays from 7-8:30 pm at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. We currently have about 20 boys who are chartered via the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. Collectively we have over 40 years of adult leadership within the Boy Scouts of America program.
We have an active youth-led Scouting program in which the Scouts plan and execute their weekly meetings and monthly events. Scouts plan monthly camp-outs/activities which are typically held the third weekend of each month. Some of our past activities include camping, cooking, hiking, backpacking, service projects, fundraising, climbing, water sports, and shooting sports. A highlight of the year is our annual summer camp experience held for one week in July from Sunday to Saturday.
Interested in a High Adventure experience? Check out the four High Adventure Experiences at the National level; Summit, Northern Tier, Sea Base, and Philmont. A few of our youth and leaders attended the 2023 National Jamboree at the Summit. Are you ready for #Jambo2026?
Honorable Mention
An interesting find in late 2019 of an earlier Scout Troop that existed at Randolph-Macon Academy.
