Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 750's website!
What is Scouting? Scouting is a program that focuses on developing citizenship, character, leadership skills, and fitness in our members. We use the Oath and Law as our guide in all that we do. The "Aims & Methods" link explains our program more fully.
We are an active, boy-led Troop. Use the other links to learn more about the exciting opportunities our Troop offers. Scroll down to see an outline of our monthly themes, trips, and service opportunities.
Troop 750 is sponsored by Pinnacle Lutheran Church, 250 Pinnacle Road, Rochester, NY 14623. We meet here weekly on Thursday nights from 7pm - 8:30pm.
Youth leaders are expected to be 30 minutes early and can expect to leave up to 10 or 15 minutes later each night.
Our Scouts primarily come from the Rush-Henrietta Central School District, and we generally follow their schedule. If school is out for a break or vacation, we usually won't have a regular meeting. We may have a special event, though, so watch our messaging and follow the calendar closely.
Meetings begin and end with a basic flag ceremony, including the Pledge of Allegiance, the Scout Oath, the Outdoor Code, the Scout Law, and a Scoutmaster Minute. Meetings usually include a skills session, time for patrol work, an inter-patrol activity, and time permitting, a game.
Our troop uses service patrols. Scouts in the service patrol are expected to arrive a few minutes early to set up and arrange the room and stay a few extra minutes at the end of the meeting to restore the room to order and help move program supplies out to cars. When patrols work as a team, we are truly only asking for a few minutes from each scout at the start and end of each meeting. Thanks for your help with this.
Planning, preparing, and eating food is a core component of many scouting activities. We must be aware of and adapt to include food allergies in everything that we do. Some members of Troop 750 have severe food allergies. Scouts are prohibited from bringing snacks containing nuts to any event or activity. Accommodations are made for dietary restrictions pertaining to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, and other allergens. Please bring your allergies to our attention. Because of the nature of our program, your Scout's allergies will be known to other members of the group.
