How to begin a merit badge?

• First contact the Scoutmaster to discuss what Merit Badge you are interested in

• Next, the Scoutmaster will advise on next steps, including which merit badge counselors to contact and provide you a physical blue card

  • Connecting to your counselor through Scoutbook is an alternative to a hard copy blue card

How to prepare for a merit badge?

• Your counselor will guide you on what material to review

• Below are Merit Badge Pamphlets and Merit Badge workbooks that can be printed.  Last updated August 2025

  • Please look to make sure the workbook has the most up to date requirements

  • The Troop Librarian will update the list annually.  Please review 'notes' for requirements that are more recent than the workbook
