The customized Troop 5 summer camp of 2020 was an absolute blast! Due to Covid, we all decided that instead of going to a normal summer camp (which wouldn't be as open and fun) we would create our own. Several of the boys had been up to Camp Long Lake North during outpost in previous years, and Shorty was open to us staying on his property. Therefore, we decided that that was the place we would go. Together we camped, cooked lovely meals, (and delicious Dutch oven desserts ), and sat by the fire playing card games. During the weekend, we went fly fishing off the shore of a lake. But the most exciting thing we did while we were up in Krivitz was going whitewater rafting on the Peshtigo River. We all got soaked, and enjoyed some good sliders afterwards, all while earning the whitewater merit badge in the process. Overall, our summer camp was a huge success, and we're excited to see what we'll come up with next summer.
