Call for Beta Testers
Months ago, I had a frustrating experience during a round trip to Spintex using trotro. The cost of transportation in and out was not only expensive but also marred with fare irregularities, adding to the chaos of the public transport sector. This incident led me to call my best friend, Kwesi, who was also facing transportation challenges in Accra. He had just arrived from Kumasi with luggage and was finding it difficult to access the taxi station with increased demand from alternatives. It was evident that the inaccessibility of taxis and the abundance of competition from new private ride service companies like Yango were contributing to the inefficiencies in the traditional system leading to low revenue for taxi drivers. Faced with these challenges, Kwesi and I decided to take matters into our own hands. We recognized the need to bridge the gap between transport operators, citizens, and business owners by introducing a comprehensive solution to tackle these issues. Thus, Trofare was born, a super app designed to revolutionize public transport in Ghana.
