Jazz - Jazz is a technical form of dance derived from classical training and develops power, flexibility, extension, agility and style in dancers. It is done to popular music and is a high-energy class focusing on technique and stylized choreography. A fun style of dance with upbeat music. Jazz classes are always a popular choice. We follow the ADAPT Syllabus
Ballet - This style teaches the fundamental basics of dance. Ballet is the foundation for all dance styles. Ballet classes encourage grace and precision while developing basic technique, posture, coordination, strength and extension. Ballet is definitely a class where core and strength are developed
Lyrical - A combination of jazz and ballet where you tell an emotional story through movement. This creates a wide range of lines, movements and dynamics. Lyrical dance often focuses on developing a sense of musicality and conveying an emotion or storyline.
Contemporary - Contemporary dance is a dynamic and expressive style of movement that blends elements from modern, ballet, jazz, and other dance forms. It emphasizes versatility, improvisation, and emotional expression, often exploring abstract concepts or personal stories. Dancers use gravity, floor work, and fluid motion to create innovative and often unpredictable choreography, making it a constantly evolving art form.
Tap - Rhythm is the benefit of tap dancing. Tap dancing is performed in shoes with heel and toe taps attached. Dancers learn about rhythm and musicality whilst developing fast footwork and style. There is a lot of fun making rhythms with your feet! We follow the ADAPT Syllabus
Preschool - These classes give your little one the ability to be creative while learning musicality and basic technique to enhance their love of Dance. Your child will have lots and lots of fun while learning steps to help them grow to the next level.
Musical Theatre - Our "large group" productions are popular and combine a fun song with choreography and may include singing. Students are often introduced to music made popular by Broadway musicals and other live theatre music.
Hip Hop - A fun, non-competitive class combining creativity with today's latest music. A great class for any beginner or advanced dancer.
Irish - Irish dance is a traditional form of dance originating from Ireland, known for its rapid leg and foot movements while the upper body remains largely still. It includes both solo and group dancing and is often performed to lively Irish music featuring instruments like the fiddle, accordion, and bodhrán.
Technique - This class will focus on building skills, strength and flexibility to better prepare dancers for competitions. There will be no performance from this class for the recital or competitions.
Boys Only - A new class this year for boys interested in learning dance
Classes are available for both Recreational and Competitive Dancers.
