SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

• PENGERTIAN    

Simple Present Tense is used to describe actions or situations that are regular, habitual, or generally true. Simple Present Tense adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan kejadian yang teratur, rutin, atau kebiasaan yang terus terjadi sehari-hari. Simple Present Tense juga bisa digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu hal yang sedang terjadi saat ini. 

• CIRI CIRI

1. Adverb Of Time: Kata yang memberikan informasi tentang kapan, berapa lama dan seberapa sering peristiwa itu berlangsung. Ex: now, soon, always, often.

2. Verb1 + s/es

• verb+es untuk kata yang berakhiran s,ch,sh,x,o. Ex: cities

• verb+s digunakan untuk sebagian besar kata benda tunggal. Ex: books, cats

3.  To Be ( is/am/are)

• am - I

• Is - she, he, it

• Are - you, they, we

• RUMUS

1. Verbal

• (+) subject + verb1(s/es)+ complement

• (-) subject + do/doesn't + v1 + object

• (?) do/does + subject + object

2. Nominal

(+) subject + to br + complement

(-) subject + to be + not + complem(?) to be + subject + complement

• CONTOH

Positif:

• I eat breakfast every morning. (Saya sarapan setiap pagi.)

• She studies English at school. (Dia belajar bahasa Inggris di sekolah.)

• They play football in the park. (Mereka bermain sepak bola di taman.)

• He drinks coffee in the afternoon. (Dia minum kopi di sore hari.)

• The cat sleeps on the couch. (Kucing itu tidur di sofa.) 

Negatif:

• I do not eat lunch at home. (Saya tidak makan siang di rumah.)

• She does not speak French. (Dia tidak berbicara bahasa Prancis.)

• They do not watch TV in the evening. (Mereka tidak menonton TV di malam hari.)

• He does not work on weekends. (Dia tidak bekerja di akhir pekan.)

• The dog does not bark at strangers. (Anjing itu tidak menggonggong pada orang asing.) 

Interogatif:

• Do you like pizza? (Apakah kamu suka pizza?)

• Does she live in Jakarta? (Apakah dia tinggal di Jakarta?)

• Do they play musical instruments? (Apakah mereka bermain alat musik?)

• Does he work as a doctor? (Apakah dia bekerja sebagai dokter?)

• Does the train stop here? (Apakah kereta berhenti di sini?) 

PRESENT COUNTINUOUS TENSE

• PENGERTIAN

Present continuous tense adalah bentuk tense yang dapat kamu gunakan untuk menjelaskan sesuatu atau menyatakan aksi yang sedang berlangsung selama waktu tertentu pada masa sekarang (present).

• RUMUS

(+)Subject + be (am/are/is) + verb1 -ing + complement.

(-)Subject + be (am/are/is) + not + verb1 -ing + complement.

(?) Be (am/is/are) + subject + verb1 -ing + complement?

• CONTOH

Positif:

• I am studying English now. (Saya sedang belajar bahasa Inggris sekarang.)

• She is cooking dinner for the family. (Dia sedang memasak makan malam untuk keluarga.)

• They are playing football in the park. (Mereka sedang bermain sepak bola di taman.)

• The cat is sleeping on the sofa. (Kucing itu sedang tidur di sofa.)

• We are watching a movie tonight. (Kita sedang menonton film malam ini.) 

Negatif:

• I am not eating breakfast at the moment. (Saya tidak sedang sarapan saat ini.)

• He is not working on a new project. (Dia tidak sedang mengerjakan proyek baru.)

• The children are not playing outside. (Anak-anak itu tidak sedang bermain di luar.)

• She is not listening to music right now. (Dia tidak sedang mendengarkan musik sekarang.)

• We are not going to the party. (Kita tidak akan pergi ke pesta.) 

Interogatif:

• Are you watching TV? (Apakah kamu sedang menonton TV?)

• Is she studying for the exam? (Apakah dia sedang belajar untuk ujian?)

• Are they playing basketball? (Apakah mereka sedang bermain bola basket?)

• Is it raining outside? (Apakah di luar sedang hujan?)

• Am I bothering you? (Apakah saya mengganggu kamu?)

IRREGULAR VERB

• PENGERTIAN

Irregular Verb adalah kata kerja yang tidak mengikuti pola standar konjugasi dalam bahasa yang digunakan, yang berarti bahwa kata kerja tersebut tidak mengikuti pola yang teratur ketika berubah di antara berbagai bentuknya.
