ABOUT

I am a theatre actor, dancer, cine actor and storyteller from Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka.

My artistic voice was shaped through my training at NINASAM, and through performing across Karnataka, where the stage became my classroom and the audience my greatest teacher.

Rooted in Bharatanatyam, folk traditions, and the spirit of Yakshagana, my work moves between theatre, dance, and cinema — exploring human emotion, memory, and identity. From intimate stage performances to experimental cinema like NIRVANA, my practice seeks to transform stories into lived experiences.

For me, performance is not merely presentation; it is presence.
A space where the body remembers, the voice questions, and the audience becomes part of the story.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Multidisciplinary artist working across theatre, dance, cinema, painting, storytelling, and visual arts, rooted in the cultural landscape of Dakshina Kannada.

NINASAM graduate (2024–25) and former member of NINASAM Tirugata, developing strong artistic discipline, resilience, and performance practice.
Trained in Bharatanatyam, folk dance, and Indian contemporary dance, with artistic inspiration drawn from the rich traditions and visual language of Yakshagana.
Performed in acclaimed productions including Mamatheya Suli, Dwaya, Charuvasanta, Chorapurana, Mother Courage and Her Children, The Robbers, Krishna Nee Haleyavanalla, and several others.
Performed at prestigious venues and festivals including Rangayana Mysuru, Rangashankara Bengaluru, Shankar Nag Utsava, and Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dharwad.
Theatre Director of the one-act play Urvi and street plays Arivina Kathana and Siri, taking theatre to audiences across Karnataka.
Created and performed the solo Bharatanatyam production Kadamba Kaushike, which received appreciation at the Kannada Sahitya Sammelana and various cultural festivals.
Directed a theatre production 'SWATHANTHRYA SHARADHI' supported by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Creative Managing Trustee of Chamara Foundation, Also she has trained 1,000+ students in theatre and its various disciplines.
Conducts workshops in theatre, acting, movement, and emotional expression, nurturing emerging performers.
An accomplished painter and visual artist, exploring emotion, human relationships, nature, femininity, and everyday life through colour, form, and visual storytelling.
Her multidisciplinary practice explores the connection between body, movement, space, colour, and narrative.
Recipient of several honours, including:
- State-Level Mono Acting Award, presented by Jnanpith awardee Chandrashekhara Kambara
- Best Actress – International Bunts Art Festival 2020
- Most Talented Woman Award
- Kala Rathna Award
Lead female actor in the Tulu film Pili.
Actor in Nirvana, a state award-winning experimental solo film that received First Prize at Bengaluru International Film Festival 2024.
Currently pursuing an M.A. in Media and Communication at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, expanding her practice into media, communication, and contemporary visual storytelling.
Continues to build a distinctive artistic voice that bridges traditional Indian performance with contemporary forms of expression.

NIRVANA

Set in the quiet isolation of a rural house, the film follows a pregnant woman through a single day of her life — a day shaped by silence, struggle, and resilience.

At dawn, she wakes to an empty home, carrying both the weight of loneliness and the life growing within her. In the stillness of the countryside, her day unfolds through simple yet demanding routines — fetching water, lighting the stove, cooking, and tending to the house. What seem like ordinary tasks slowly become physical and emotional challenges as fatigue, isolation, and unexpected hurdles test her strength.

With no one around, the sounds of the wind, the creaking doors, and the distant village echoes become her only companions. Yet within this solitude, she finds quiet moments of courage — gently holding her belly, whispering to the child within, drawing strength from hope.

As dusk arrives, she sits by the doorway of her rural home, the fading light reflecting a day of silent endurance. Her journey becomes a powerful reflection of unseen strength, resilience, and the profound solitude of motherhood.

This intense single-actor narrative captures the emotional depth of a woman’s inner world through silence, physicality, and presence.
