Welcome to TripTalk. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TripTalk mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using TripTalk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
TripTalk ("we", "us", or "our") provides a travel community platform that lets users ask locals, share posts, chat, and use optional AI trip-planning features.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use TripTalk. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@triptalk.app if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users.
4. The Service
TripTalk may include, without limitation:
- Asking destination questions and browsing community discussions
- Creating posts, comments, and profile information (including local identity claims)
- Messaging other users (text, photos, voice messages where available)
- Optional AI-assisted trip planning and refinement features
- Optional paid memberships and virtual coin packs
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Features may vary by region, device, membership tier, or availability of third-party providers.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit ("User Content"), including posts, comments, photos, voice messages, profile text, and messages. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and protect the Service.
You represent that you have all rights needed to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate law.
We do not guarantee that User Content is accurate, complete, or safe. Travel advice from other users is opinion and experience, not professional guidance. Always verify critical travel, safety, health, visa, and legal information independently.
6. Community Rules
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or violently graphic content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or local status in a deceptive way
- Spam, scam, phish, or promote fraud
- Share others' private information without consent
- Use the Service to exploit, threaten, or abuse anyone
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, disrupt, or overload the Service
- Circumvent paywalls, quotas, or safety systems
- Use bots or automated scripts except as expressly allowed
We may remove content, limit features, or ban accounts when we believe these rules are violated. You can report and block other users through in-app tools.
7. AI Features
AI itineraries and refinements are generated automatically and may contain errors, outdated information, or unsuitable suggestions. AI output is for inspiration only and is not a substitute for official travel advisories, booking confirmations, or professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on AI output. Usage limits may apply by membership tier.
8. Purchases, Memberships, and Coins
Optional purchases may include:
- Auto-renewable subscriptions (for example Travel+ Lite and Travel Pro, weekly or monthly)
- Consumable coin packs
Apple App Store purchases
If you buy through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Restoring purchases is available in the app where offered.
Virtual items
Coins and membership benefits are licensed digital features, have no cash value outside the Service, are non-transferable, and are generally non-refundable except where required by law or Apple's refund policies. We may change pricing, packs, or benefits with notice where required.
9. Intellectual Property
The TripTalk name, logos, design, software, and non-user content are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited license to use the Service, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our materials without permission.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third parties (for example cloud hosting, push delivery, analytics or measurement SDKs subject to your consent, payment processing by Apple, and AI providers). Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from TripTalk, including our legal pages hosted on Google Sites.
11. Termination
You may stop using TripTalk at any time and may request account deletion by contacting support@triptalk.app or using in-app account deletion if available. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.
