This Privacy Policy explains how TrippApp ("TrippApp", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS app for comparing and booking flights, hotels, and car rentals.
Information We Collect
Identifiers: When you subscribe to TrippApp Premium, Apple's App Store processes your purchase and shares a transaction identifier with us so we can verify your subscription status. We do not collect your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
Location: If you tap "Use my location" in the Explore tab, TrippApp uses your device's location once to detect your nearest airport. Location is not collected unless you take this action, and it is not stored on our servers.
Search history: TrippApp stores your recent flight, hotel, and car searches locally on your device so you can quickly find them again. This information is not shared with us or with third parties.
Other data: Basic, non-identifying diagnostic data (such as app crashes) may be collected by Apple to help us improve stability.
How We Use Information
We use the information above only to: run your searches through our travel-data partners, remember your preferences (such as your home airport and saved price alerts), verify your Premium subscription, and improve app performance.
Third-Party Services
TrippApp displays flight, hotel, and car rental results from third-party travel-data providers accessed through RapidAPI. When you tap through to book, you leave TrippApp and complete your booking directly with that provider, subject to their own privacy policy. Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple's App Store; TrippApp never sees or stores your card details.
Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Data Retention and Your Rights
Search history and preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you delete the app. You can request access to, or deletion of, any information we hold about you by emailing rubenmerced10@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
TrippApp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
