Mrs. Neise has been a certified Palm Beach County School District teacher since 2008. In 2010, she was awarded the coveted $500 grant from the Mary and Robert Pew Center to purchase books for her classroom library. In 2011, the Palm Beach Post interviewed her for the rollout of the Common Core Standards, and she was the 2012 William T. Dwyer Teacher of the Year Nominee for her school in West Palm Beach.
In the later years of her career with the district, she has focused on teaching reading and writing to English Language Learners and children with varying abilities. She has taught Kindergarten, Second, and Third grade and served as the Grade-Level Chairperson for six years in both Kindergarten and Third grade.
She began her education journey in Brooklyn as an aftercare counselor for the YMCA of Greater New York. She quickly moved through the ranks and became head counselor for their summer camp program. From there, she went on to teach preschool. In all, she has 25 years of experience working with children.
When Mrs. Neise is not passionately teaching reading and writing, she loves spending time with her husband and daughters, in her vegetable garden, feeding her backyard chickens, on her sewing machine, or reading and writing.
