Are you currently residing in Scranton PA or surrounding areas and are looking for some much needed repairs to your floor or maybe you want to install new floors entirely? Depending on what room your interested in for flooring would determine what type of floors we would choose to have installed. Todays most common floor types include hardwood which have been around for hundreds of years and come in a variety of wood species like oak, cherry, walnut, maple, ect. Hardwood floors have been known to last longer than most floor types and you also have the option of refinishing hardwood floors and pretty much making them look brand new again. Staining and polyurethaning your hardwood floors make them shine beautifully once again when done by a skilled professional. Vinyl flooring is one of my favorite options when it comes to floor installations mainly because of its ease of installation, easy maintenance, and what I love most about installing vinyl planks most of all is its water proofing qualities which in my opinion is best suited for bathroom installations and kitchen installs. Vinyl flooring is also a very cost effective option and it very easy to clean and maintain. Laminate flooring is similar to vinyl flooring in some ways, it has a dense type fiber board with a photographic image on top, its easy to install, maintain, and can be purchased in a wide range of price qualities. Floor tile is another timeless option that have been used for millenia. Common floor tile materials include ceramic, clay, porcelain tiles, clay, stone tiles, from large format tiles all the way down to smaller penny tiles (for shower floors typically). The options are endless when it comes to floor tiles, with the imagination of an artist you can pretty much do anything. Engineered wood flooring has a top veneer of real wood with less expensive plywood underneath, its a more cost effective solution compared to traditional hardwood but can only be sanded minimally so it needs to be taken care of more continuously. Bamboo is one of the hardest flooring options on the market, its extremely difficult to scratch or dent, its one of the most durable is actually derived from a grass species. Bamboo floors are low maintenance and very tough but are usually a more expensive option than traditional hardwood types.Â
