Off-season = opportunity. Skill work + strength training now = stronger performance next season. Invest in yourselves!
Each workout you do over the summer, you will log it on the Google form.
Each workout will contribute to your summer points total.
At the end of the summer the top 10 players with the most points will be invited to a special final day where we will do some competitions to see who the ultimate winners are. Each person that makes it to the final day will win a prize.
Track everything you do so that you can see improvements made in strength, endurance and speed. It will help you set goals and see patterns in your training.
There will be opportunities for bonus points such as both you and your partner completing a workout or special bonus days where you can earn 2x points.
Contest is open to all girls going into grade 10-12
Prizes!! DQ has agreed to sponsor some prizes for us.
Grand prize will be a custom pair of new basketball shoes.
2nd Place 150$ gift card
3rd place 100$ gift card
Special one offs and some weekly prizes along the way for DQ treats ect.
We will use a 1,000-Point Weekly Goal System.
Shooting: 1 pt for every shot made, max 500 per week. Can you join the 5K club?!!
Lifting/Core: 100 pts for each workout, max 300 per week
Ball Handling: 2 pts for every min spent, max 200 pts
The Weekly Target: 1000 points
Competitive Shooting Drills (track these, try to beat your best score every time)
Beal Shooting Workout (needs a rebounder)
Make 4 (needs a rebounder) We do it in 2 min. Going for shortest amount of time or you can keep shooting 3s and see how many you can get before 2 mins runs out
Corner to Corner how many can you make solo in 1 min
Footwork (playing off 2 feet)
