TripFork Privacy Policy

TripFork ("the app") is a trip-planning app. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

DATA COLLECTED

If you never sign in: none. All trip data is stored only on your device and never leaves it.

If you choose to sign in (optional, for syncing trips across devices or sharing trips with others), we collect:

- Email address — used only to send you a sign-in link and identify your account. We do not use it for marketing and do not share it with third parties.

- Trip content you create — trip names, destinations, dates, notes, hotel/activity/restaurant entries, and similar planning details you enter — stored so it can sync across your devices and be shared with people you explicitly invite to a trip.

Location: the app may ask for your location once, during first-time setup, to suggest a default currency, temperature unit, and departure city. This is used once, on-device, and is not stored on our servers or tracked over time. You can skip this entirely.

HOW DATA IS STORED

Account and trip data (only for users who sign in) is stored using Supabase, a third-party database provider. Access is restricted so that only you — and anyone you explicitly share a specific trip with — can read or write that trip's data.

DATA SHARING

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Trip data is only visible to you and to people you deliberately invite to collaborate on a specific trip.

DATA DELETION

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings, then Delete account). This permanently deletes your account and every trip you own. This action cannot be undone.

You can also delete individual trips at any time without deleting your account.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

TripFork is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
