Initially, we booked our Shinkansen tickets to Kyoto for 10am. However, as it took some time to get our heads around the multi-level Tokyo, we decided to have another attempt to visit the Imperial Palace; so we rebooked our tickets to the 5pm Shinkansen. Had another great day in Tokyo and still no luck with entering the palace.
