Hi, my name is Nora (she/her) and I grew up in Quincy, WA. I stayed there for most of my k-12 education until I started running start and went to BBCC my junior year in high school. I went to BBCC from 2018-2020 and received my Associate in Arts & Sciences DTA. I am currently studying computer science at the University of Washington and will be graduating next Winter with my bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I decided to be a TRIO STEM Peer Mentor because of the amazing support I received from the TRIO staff when I was there. I also really value mentorship and I've been a mentee in some programs and found a lot of value in it so I hope to be there to support others just like my mentors before have for me!

Hello, Im Daisy. I grew up and went to school in Quincy, WA. I attended BBCC as a running start student from 2018-2020 and I graduated with the AAS-DTA in June of 2020. I am currently at the University of Washington in seattle and I have been here for almost 3 years. I plan to graduate next spring, 2024, with my BS in Public Health-Global Health and a minor in Spanish.
I decided to be a TRIO STEM Peer Mentor because I wanted to encourage and help BBCC students to pursue bachelors degrees in STEM at universities and also because I wanted to give back to TRIO for the support and mentorship they provided for me before transferring to the university. I hope that my mentorship to the mentees encourages them to achieve their goals in STEM!

You can contact your mentor in multiple ways! When you had your first meeting with them you should have established how to communicate. If you need further assistance, please contact your TRIO advisor or email TRIO_SSS@bigbend.edu.
