Privacy Policy

Trimly (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Trimly mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use Trimly.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we collect your name, email address, and profile identifier provided by the sign-in service.

b. Profile & Health-Related Information
To personalize your experience, we collect information you provide during onboarding and in the app, such as:

• Gender, age, height, and weight

• Fitness activity level and goals

• Target weight and goal deadlines

• Daily calorie and macronutrient targets

c. Food & Nutrition Data
We collect food logs you create, including:

• Photos of meals you scan or upload

• Calorie and macro estimates

• Manual food entries and meal history

d. AI Chat Data
Messages you send to Trimly’s AI assistant are processed to generate responses. Please do not share sensitive personal information in chat.

e. Device & Usage Information
We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system, app version) and anonymous usage data to improve performance, fix bugs, and maintain security.

f. Push Notification Tokens
If you enable notifications, we collect a device token to send reminders and app-related messages.

g. Subscription Information
If you purchase Trimly Pro, subscription status and purchase history are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Generate personalized calorie and nutrition recommendations

• Analyze food images and text to estimate nutritional content

• Provide AI-powered nutrition guidance

• Store and display your logs, progress, and history

• Send optional reminders and notifications

• Process and manage subscriptions

• Improve app functionality, stability, and user experience

• Respond to support requests

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the App, and only to the extent needed to provide their service. We require each provider, by contract, to protect your data with safeguards that are the same as or equivalent to those described in this policy. Our providers include:

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database, and push messaging

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — account authentication

• OpenAI — analysis of meal photos and processing of AI chat messages (see Section 3a)

• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management

• Cloud storage providers — secure storage of uploaded images

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

3a. Sharing Data With OpenAI (Third-Party AI Service)

When you use Trimly's food-scanning or AI chat features, we send the following data to OpenAI, a third-party artificial-intelligence service, so it can generate results for you:

• The meal photos you scan or upload (for calorie and macro estimation), and

• The text messages you type into the AI assistant (to generate nutrition guidance).

OpenAI processes this data on our behalf to return the estimates and responses shown in the App. We do not send this data to OpenAI until you have reviewed an in-app disclosure and given your explicit permission. You can withdraw this permission at any time in the App's settings, after which the AI features will be unavailable and no further data will be sent to OpenAI. OpenAI is contractually required to protect this data with safeguards that are the same as or equivalent to those in this Privacy Policy. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in chat messages.

4. Permissions

Trimly may request the following permissions:

• Camera — to scan food for calorie tracking

• Photo Library — to select food images for analysis

• Notifications — to send optional meal and activity reminders

• Internet Access — required for account sync, AI analysis, and app updates

You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without certain permissions.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account through the App, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You can:

• Update profile information in the App

• Manage notification preferences in device settings

• Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings

• Delete your account from the Profile section in the App

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable laws.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

Trimly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. By using Trimly, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Trimly mobile application (the “App”) operated by Trimly (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Trimly. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Trimly is a nutrition and calorie-tracking application that helps users log food, estimate nutritional intake, track weight and progress, and receive AI-powered nutrition guidance.

Trimly provides estimates and general information only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Account Registration

You may need to create an account using Google or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.

4. Subscriptions & Payments (Trimly Pro)

Trimly offers optional paid subscriptions (“Trimly Pro”) through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase.

• Any free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies.

Prices and available plans are shown in the App before purchase and may change with notice where required.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

• Misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the App or its servers

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App

• Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content

• Use the App to provide medical advice to others

• Share your account credentials with others

6. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

Trimly’s calorie counts, macro estimates, and AI responses are estimates only and may not be accurate for all foods or portions.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions, allergies, eating disorders, are pregnant, or take medication.

You use Trimly at your own risk. We are not responsible for health outcomes resulting from use of the App.

7. AI Features and Third-Party AI Processing

Trimly's food-scanning and AI chat features rely on OpenAI, a third-party AI service. When you use these features, the meal photos you scan and the messages you type are sent to OpenAI for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will ask for your permission before sending any such data, and you may withdraw that permission at any time in the App's settings.

AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on AI responses as a substitute for professional nutrition or medical advice. You are responsible for verifying important dietary decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, logos, and software in Trimly are owned by Trimly or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as food photos and chat messages). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process it solely to provide and improve the App.

10. Privacy

Your use of Trimly is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your data.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or for operational or legal reasons.

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the Profile section.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trimly and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD $50 if you have not made any payments.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where Trimly operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
