TRIFED together with PMVDY State Nodal Departments and Implementation agencies and UNICEF India is committed to generating awareness among forest dwelling Tribal gatherers about today’s unprecedented circumstances owing to the world wide Covid 19 pandemic. Keeping in view the loss of livelihoods and resultant problems, it is proposed to position and set up the recently sanctioned 15,000 VANDHAN SHGs as SOCIAL DISTANCING AWARENESS Cum LIVELIHOODS CENTERS (VANDHAN SAMAJIK DOORI JAGROOKTA Evam AAJEEVIKA KENDRA), in the country

The process of identification of Office-bearers of VanDhan centers should be commenced immediately with involvement of all partners. All RMs, TRIFED with their full teams and Interns may coordinate with State Implementing agencies to identify the CENTERS.

For awareness generation the centers will be provided with material prepared by UNICEF through mobile friendly Digital Pocket Book and other messages, duly translated where necessary.
