As a research fellow of structural geology and tectonics, my work focuses on deciphering deformation mechanisms, fabric development, and paleostress conditions. I am passionate about unraveling the complexities of geological structures; their origin, and evolution. Through detailed fieldworks, laboratory analyses, and numerical simulations, I am aiming to contribute to our knowledge of Earth's dynamic evolution.

I am a structural geologist by training. I study the evolution and interaction of brittle deformation features developed within upper crustal rocks and try to establish their implication in the tectonic history of the terrain through field observations, empirical and theoretical considerations, fabric analysis, and experimental modeling. I am also interested in the evolution of orogenic belts and enjoy unravelling their complex 3D geometries developed through time.

I am working to understand the origin and occurrence of the deposits in Singhbhum Shear Zone, particularly the controls on ore mineralization and localization. A detailed study of structural patterns using the AMS analysis, physical analogue and numerical modeling will be adopted to comprehend the development of structural fabrics and the kinematic history of Singhbhum Shear Zone which would help to decipher the control of mineralization.
