About the Author

Books are a part of me. As a  working graphic designer, I enjoyed building marketing materials, but designing books was my true passion. After starting a family, I was ready to leave the world of generic ad layouts for good! I founded 4 Oak Books, a company I operate with my two daughters. As an author, I'm allowed to build a book from the ground up. I enjoy creating illustrations, writing stories, and overseeing books to completion. There's little I need (I have degrees in design, marketing, graphics, and tech) other than more time!

I'm inspired by the great lakes of Northern Michigan. While my favorite genres are paranormal and epic fantasy, I'm always trying to write something unique. My epic fantasy trilogy, Draekkon's Fire, has both dramatic and romantic elements. I also enjoy writing romance, especially those with a holiday theme. My small town romance series, Sugar Creek represents my urge to tell a heartwarming story. My paranormal romance story, Moon Cast, returns classic chills to the genre.

When I'm not writing, I'm planning new stories. My small mixed breed dog, Patches (he is white with black heart-shaped marks on his head and his bum), is my constant companion. He’s behind the humor in my books.
