Our Story

After nine years of marriage Joanne and Boo thought they'd shake it up a bit by starting Tribal Electric LLC. They knew their communities needed a POC, queer, woman-identified option for electrical services in their neighborhoods, community spaces, organizations, local business and homes.   

Boo's love affair with the electrical industry started in 2003.  She went through the  5 year IBEW local 46 Seattle apprenticeship for commercial wireman.  After earning her electrical license, she and Joanne moved to Alaska where Boo ran a service truck and worked on several jobs as a foreman.  They moved back to Seattle in 2015 where Boo ran more work as a foreman.  Boo worked at the City of Seattle as a maintenance electrician for a little bit until a Seattle police officer murdered Charlena Lyles.  Boo quit that day and started her adventure of working for herself (well, technically working for Joanne).  The projects she's worked on includes: State Office Buildings, Alaska State Museum, Snoqualmie Casino, Sheridan Hotel, 520 Floating Bridge and multiple high-rises, homes, small business and investment properties.
