March 22, 2023 - Off Road Triathlon in Tahara will be held on Sept 30, 2023. The venue is Shiroya Seaside Park near Toyohashi (the same as Ironman 70.3). Entry information is not yet available.
March 22, 2023 - Entries are open for Sai no Kuni Triathlon at Lake Watarase, Saitama. There are sprint, standard, and middle distance races.
March 9, 2023 - Entries are now open for Xterra Marunuma on Sept 17. Early bird entries until March 31st. English entry available.
Feb 26, 2023 - Sado International Triathlon entries open March 1st. Middle and long distance races will be held on Sept 3rd.

Nov 1, 2022 - JTU Registration - 2023 JTU registration is now open. You need to have JTU registration for most races in Japan.
Oct 27, 2022 - Miyajima Woodman Triathlon - this unique race will be held for the last time on June 18, 2023. Entries close April 1st.

Jan 30, 2020 - Gran Fondo Myoko will be held on Sept 19th. Last year, several TiTers took part in this 160 km cycle event.
Jan 30, 2021 - Tokunoshima Middle Distance Triathlon entries are now open on MSPO. The race will be held on June 27th and refunds will be offered if the race is cancelled.
Jan 18, 2021 - Entries for Yokohama OD Triathlon are open until Feb 1. The races is scheduled to take place on May 16; refunds will be offered if the race is cancelled.
Dec 19, 2020 - Suwa 8 Peaks Middle Distance Triathlon is a new race scheduled to be held on June 26, 2021 around Lake Suwa and the foothills of Yatsu-ga-dake, Nagano.
Dec 18, 2020 - Minami-Kanto Calfman duathlon entries are now open. The race is on January 17th in Saitama.
Dec 13, 2020 - The Shonan Cyclocross series had been reduced to just one race in Izunokuni City, Izu.

Nov 8, 2020 - Calfman Japan - the JTU is planning to hold just two Calfman duathlons this winter, Kita Kanto in Saitama (mid Jan) and Minami Kanto in Kawasaki (early Feb).
Oct 30, 2020 - Vittoria releases Air-Liner tyre inserts for gravel tyres. These protect the tyre from flats and allows you to ride a little slower on a flat tyre. This looks like a great set-up for training wheels.
Oct 21, 2020 - JR East Welcome Rail Pass 2020 - a rail pass exclusively for foreign passport holders, regardless of visa status. A 3-day pass is just 12,000 yen, including Shinkansen travel.
Mandatory bicycle insurance - from April 1st, compulsory bicycle insurance will be extended to Tokyo. If you use a bike, you must get insured. There is information on this in the "Bike" section under "Various".
