CalFresh/Snap Education and Training

CalFresh Employment & Training Program is a voluntary employment and training program offered to CalFresh clients though third-party providers (listed below) that deliver vocational training to low-income participants. You do not need a referral to participate, but you do need to let your eligibility worker know you are enrolled. Please contact your eligibility worker if you have any questions or need more information.

As an employable General Assistance and/or CalFresh applicant or recipient, you can be part of the CalFresh Employment & Training Program by enrolling in the CalFresh Program. CalFresh can also provide you with extra money for healthy food. Request a CalFresh application be mailed to you, If you are already receiving CalFresh and want to enroll in the CalFresh Employment & Training program, just can call 510-645-9332.

Civicorps: Employment and training services for disconnected youth.

Roots Community Health Center: Roots Emancipator initiative program for system involved/re-entry clients to learn workforce readiness skill and small scale soap manufacturing
