Trewint is a part of Northshield, a kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international non-profit organization. The SCA is a living history group with the aim of studying and recreating cultures and their histories pre-17th Century.

The Shire of Trewint encompasses the Northeastern part of South Dakota, including: Huron, Brookings, Aberdeen, Watertown, Milbank, and surrounding communities.

Active for over 25 years, Trewint hosts multiple events throughout the year and are always welcoming new members. The main goal of the Shire of Trewint is to have fun and help others. We offer a variety of experiences including: camping events, archery, amazing feasts, and teaching what we know.
