Representing the Northeast portion of South Dakota, we belong to the Kingdom of Northshield and are a part of the larger Society of Creative Anachronism, a global, educational, nonprofit association.

Trewint is a part of Northshield, a kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international non-profit organization. The SCA is a living history group with the aim of studying and recreating cultures and their histories pre-17th Century.

The Shire of Trewint encompasses the Northeastern part of South Dakota, including: Huron, Brookings, Aberdeen, Watertown, Milbank, and surrounding communities.

Active for over 25 years, Trewint hosts multiple events throughout the year and are always welcoming new members. The main goal of the Shire of Trewint is to have fun and help others. We offer a variety of experiences including: camping events, archery, amazing feasts, and teaching what we know.

All types of projects welcome, however, there is no kitchen space or "high tech" ventilation. Small torches for glass bead making are okay. There will be plenty of outlets, tables and chairs. We will also have a few sewing machines for people to use. Since this is a workshop, presence space is limited.

Know someone interested in the SCA in Northeast SD? This would be a great time to bring them along! We would love to introduce ourselves!

Plan on a relaxed day of improving our craft and maybe picking up some new lessons along the way! Children are welcome to bring their own projects to work on, but there will be no planned activities. Site is accessible and dry.
