I'm a 1st year masters student at Penn State working in the Built Landscape and Urban Ecology (BLUE) lab, helmed by Dr. Hayden Bock. I conduct research on urban root ecology, specifically how urban stress and management, impacts root morphology.
Through my development as a scientist, I hope to expand on current scientific knowledge and pioneer new research into urban-root systems. In addition, I hope to provide extension resources to the public, foster love for science, serve as a mentor, and push the frontier of my field. My background in farming, root biology, and a passion for science has positioned me for a future in research.
