Leadership. Since 2022, I have been working as a life coach with the Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group, where I mentor and inspire younger students to realize and maximize their potential. In 2024, I was appointed Class Leader, a role that strengthened my ability to lead with empathy and support my peers. My leadership journey began even earlier as a prayer leader during my primary school years at Maris Stella High, a Catholic school where I first learned the importance of service, responsibility, and moral grounding.
Although I’ve started many parts of my journey later than others, I believe that with strong passion and hard work, I can not only catch up — but even excel beyond expectations. I embrace a growth mindset — constantly learning, improving, and striving to be the best version of myself.
Life Coach in Adam Khoo's Programme: 2022 - Present
As an assistant coach, I learned to be more aware—not just of my surroundings, but also of the needs and well-being of the kids I was helping to guide. This role required me to be responsible, alert, and attentive at all times, as even small actions could have a big impact on the group. That sense of awareness has stayed with me beyond coaching and now shapes how I approach my daily life as a student. I find myself more mindful in class, more considerate of others, and more proactive in taking responsibility—whether it’s during group work, staying organized, or supporting my peers when they need help.
Recipient of the Edusave EAGLES Award: 2025
Being awarded the Edusave Eagles award where I was nominated by my peers and teachers was a great honour for me. Through my involvement in school activities and service, I learned key values of being a good listener, supporting others and staying committed even when challenges arise. These experiences taught me resilience, empathy, and the value of contributing quietly and consistently to my school community. This award motivates me to continue with my good work and bring about positive impact to society.
Recipient of the wellness award: 2024
Winning the Wellness Award was a humbling experience that, to me, reflects the values I try to live by—being kind, supportive, and attentive to the needs of those around me. I’ve always believed that looking out for others, whether it’s offering a listening ear or helping a peer through a tough time, is an important part of building a positive community. While I don’t see myself as a perfect leader, I try to lead through quiet actions and consistency, showing care rather than giving commands. This award, in many ways, exemplifies these qualities and encourages me to keep growing as someone who leads with empathy and respect.
Class Leader for 3 Courage: 2024
As the Class Leader, I was responsible for leading and coordinating my entire class in various school-wide and internal events. This included planning our class’s involvement in “CCHMS Goes Out”, where I helped organize a full-scale class outing—from brainstorming venues to managing logistics and ensuring full participation. I also took the lead in planning celebrations like Teachers’ Day, where we worked under tight deadlines to create meaningful experiences for our teachers. Beyond simply assigning tasks, I had to unite a diverse group of classmates, delegate responsibilities, and ensure that everyone worked collaboratively toward shared goals. Through this role, I developed strong leadership skills such as effective communication, strategic planning, and time management. I also learned how to motivate peers and manage group dynamics, which has prepared me to lead larger teams in more complex settings.
Student buddy to German students:
I was a student buddy to a group of german student visiting my school from dortmund and i bought them to many of the places around singapore. As we had a slight languag barrier, I learnt creative ways to learn some german from them while teaching them chinese. This thus helped me to learn and use crucial community skills for my various interactions with my student buddies. From this experience, i am certain that my leadership abilities flourished as this experience taught me not only to lead my group but to bond with my buddies.
My group for the programme.
Prayer acolyte for my school: 2020-2021
Serving as a prayer acolyte, where I read the morning prayers for the school, has been a valuable experience that helped strengthen, my leadership, faith and oratorical skills. Standing before the school each morning required me to be confident, composed, and clear in my speech, which gradually improved my ability to communicate effectively in front of a large audience. It also taught me the importance of setting the right tone and being a calm, steady presence for others at the start of each day. Though the role may seem simple, it carried a quiet form of leadership—leading through words, presence, and consistency—which helped me grow in confidence and responsibility over time.
