Teaching experience
I have been a teaching assistant for multiple classes throughout my career. Most recently I was the teaching assistant for Remote Sensing of Hydrology, a class teaching how different hydrologic variables are measured via satellite. As a teaching assistant, I was a primary resource for students' end-of-year projects, which required the students to develop a novel scientific question and answer this question using remotely sensed hydrologic variables.
I have also served as a teaching assistant for and undergraduate-level introductory biology class titled "Hero or Villain: How Might Earth's Ecosystems Resolve the Climate Question." In this role I assisted students as many navigated their first foray into ecology and the earth sciences.
Mentoring
I served as the primary mentor for two undergraduates as they performed full-time research over the summer of 2023. I guided their students as they learned how to run, edit, and validate a plant hydraulics model written in Python.
