Tremor Meter uses your device's accelerometer to measure hand tremor frequency in real time. If you have questions or need help, you're in the right place.
1. Calibrate first
Place your phone flat on a stable surface, tap the Calibrate button, and wait 3 seconds. This removes sensor drift and improves accuracy.
2. Hold steady
Hold the phone firmly in your palm or place it on the back of your hand. Extend your arm naturally. Avoid sudden movements.
3. Read the result
After a few seconds, your tremor frequency is displayed in Hz and matched to a clinical reference range.
This is correct behavior. A stationary surface has no tremor. The app will show 0.0 Hz when there is no significant motion detected.
The accelerometer is very sensitive and can pick up environmental vibrations such as nearby traffic, building vibration, or even loud sounds. For best results, measure in a quiet environment.
No. Tremor Meter is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose any condition. It is for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concerns.
8–12 Hz — Physiological (normal) tremor
4–8 Hz — Essential tremor range
3–6 Hz — Parkinson's disease range
1–4 Hz — Cerebellar tremor range
These ranges are for reference only and are not diagnostic criteria.
On Android, tap the history icon and watch a short rewarded ad to unlock your session history. On iOS, history is available directly.
Yes. Tremor frequency can vary based on fatigue, posture, time of day, and environmental factors. For consistent results, always calibrate before measuring and keep conditions similar between sessions.
