My favorite Trek is Deep Space Nine by a wide margin, but I love them all. I grew up watching the Animated Series in syndication, and my love for Star Trek only grew from there.

I'm doing the podcast because I love having the opportunity to discuss my favorite franchise with like-minded folks who don't mind a deep dive.

Outside of Trek, I enjoy video games, far too much TV, and painting miniature figures. I sadly don't get nearly enough time to do any of those things because I'm too busy running herd on an active household in which the cats are the only ones who get to nap."

Hello Trek nation, I’m William Danger Newman. I’ve been a Star Trek fan since 1966 when the original series began airing but my love for science fiction in general began even before that. I love all of Star Trek, but I am especially passionate for the live-action series. I joined the Trekker’s Delight podcast after seeing a post by them in a Star Trek group I was a member of. Having already been podcasting for 5 years as a lead host on the Galactic Driftwood podcast discussing Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror topics in general, joining a Star Trek specific podcast sounded like a perfect fit. When I’m not working or podcasting, I’m either adding to my collection of sci-fi stuff, cosplaying as the War Doctor from Doctor Who, a Jedi or Sith from Star Wars, attending Steampunk events, visiting sci-fi and fantasy conventions, or just out having fun with my wife and two Labrador retrievers. My goal in joining Trekker’s Delight is to have fun talking and theorizing with fellow fans about Star Trek, to meet other passionate Trekkers, and to add my perspective as a 56+ year fan of the franchise to the discussion. I look forward with great anticipation to all the exciting new star trek episodes and series coming and the engaging discussions they will prompt on Trekker’s Delight!
