Meet the Therapist

A little bit about me...

Hi! My name is Abby Hill, and I am the licensed mental health therapist at Treehouse Counseling, specializing in treating children ages 3-12. Most of my 20+ year career has been spent working directly with youth and their families in the Lafayette community and throughout the US. My career has included family preservation, case management, school and office-based therapy, and trauma-informed consultation for childcare centers. 

My passion has always been helping children through their healing process. I chose to open Treehouse Counseling so I can continue to do what I love! I want therapy to be a relatable and engaging experience for children, providing a safe and healing space where they can explore who they are and who they are meant to be. The road to healing is a journey, and it is my utmost honor to walk along side the littlest of us to help them in doing so.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending as much time in nature as I can, playing disc golf, painting, reading, going antiquing, taking road trips to explore new places, and hanging out with my family, friends, and dog, Betty.
