• The Dyerville Giant was a massive Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) in California's Humboldt Redwoods State Park that was once considered one of the tallest, measuring approximately 370 ft tall and 17 ft in diameter. It was estimated to be 1,600–2,000 years old, Sadly, in 1991, the tree toppled due to storm-weakened soil and root interaction with neighboring trees, causing a tremor that registered on a local seismograph.
