Treaty Oak Revival has a strong background rooted in western Texas. They first formed in 2018 in Odessa, Texas. Members include Sam Canty, Lance Vanley, Jeremiah Vanley, Andrew Carey, and Cody Holloway. These 5 guys have blended their talent together to compose songs about love, heartache, and everything in between.
They have been influenced by Red Dirt Country. Treaty Oak has taken their music inspiration from hardcore country songs as well as southern rock. With the influence of both of these genres, they have created their own genre of music. Very few bands display the same style which makes them stand out in a crowd of country artists. Some even question whether to consider them country or rock.
Their music style will continue to shape future generations of artists and listeners. Many artists starting out can take notes from Sam Canty and his band. One of them being the slow start. Although they are popular now, their fame didn't happen quick. It took a few years of playing cover songs and gaining a fan base to become big. Future artists can learn from their determination and love of music.
