A Runner’s job is to take relics from Merchants or Radders (or himself if he happens to also be a Merchant or Radder), make a hosting group with said relics, and run them with 3 other Runners to obtain the important parts in those. Afterward, the host collects all the important parts and gives them to a part holder. Alternatively, you can simply just run and not host.
HOW IS IT DONE:
NOTE: All these steps will assume you take relics and host them. If you prefer to be a lazy Runner and only join runs and not host them, ignore all steps and simply:
1. Join a squad when you are pinged in《💰》lfg
2. Choose any "trash relic" during the run.
3. Pick and return the parts the host has asked beforehand
And you are done!
STEP 1: ACQUIRING RELICS
One of the pillars of a Runner is to have relics to run, and the easiest way for you is to head to the thread #Radded Relic Soup Store inside《💰》white-soup-store. Here, you will be taking relics off Radders. These are the relics that you can pick up.
NOTE: You need to check whether these relics are still eligible to be ran. Check the note below STEP 2 for more information.
Once you have selected which relic you want to run, simply contact the Radder to arrange pickup.
You must obtain a minimum of 6 relics to run before going to the next step.
STEP 2: HOSTING RELICS
NOTE: 2 things before you host your first run:
1- Relics without any ED part are prohibited from being hosted while there are relics with ED parts
2- If all ED parts have been cleared, you must only host relics with at least 1 RED and 2 ORANGE targets.
You can check this in《💰》bot-spam-treasury by writing ++<Relic Name> (++la1 for example).
Now that you have some proper relics, it’s time for you to host them, so other Runners can join you and run them all together.
To do this, you must head to the《💰》lfg. In this channel, you will create a host group with this command:
/lfg <Treasury> <Relic> <Number of relics>
In case it is not clear how to properly set up a host, here's detailed instructions:
Type /lfg for the command menu to pop up.
Then select run type as Treasury
Next you need to select what relic you want to run. Luna does not support shorthand and is case sensitive and it is suggested you select the relic from the suggested autofill that pops up.
After selecting the relic, choose the amount of relics that you want to run.
The mission type is to be left blank.
Notice that not only does it show -
The current recommended fissures for the relic,
But also, the current status of the parts present in the relic.
This will prove in handy for STEP 3.
RUNNER TIP #1: After you hosted and every 10 minutes, you can ping the @<Treasury Runner> role to let people know there is a squad open
STEP 3: RUNNING RELICS
Now that your squad is filled with other Runners, it’s time to run your relics!
Invite the Runners to your squad to get started.
Now, in-game, announce what parts the squad will take from your relics depending on the “status” of the parts.
Ideally, the squad will take parts that are labeled ED and RED parts of the TRACKER. Though ORANGES can also be taken.
RUNNER TIP #2: Observe the screenshot given above for successful host.
Always remember to know which parts are in which color in the TRACKER.
ALL RUNNERS IN THE SQUAD HAVE THE OBLIGATION OF PICKING THE PART THE HOSTER HAS TOLD THEM TO*. NOT DOING IT WILL RESULT IN A REDUCTION IN TOKENS AND, IN SEVERE CASES, A KICK FROM THE TEAM.
*There are some cases in which you may have a duplicate of the target and, for example, a rare and target part drop at the same time. You can ditch the target and go for the rare part as long as you are willing to give the duplicate part you have.
RUNNER TIP #3: Once you’ve set up the squad in-game, remember to change the Matchmaking type to INVITE ONLY. You do this by pressing ESC, and right of the 4th member “card”, there should be a little icon. This way, if a squad member leaves mid-run, you won’t get bothered by a random person joining your squad
RUNNER TIP #4: As for the rest of the parts that aren't required from the host, you are free to choose whatever reward you want and you will keep it to yourself!
STEP 4: RETURNING AND GIVING PARTS
Once you have run all your relics there can be 2 outcomes:
The squad didn’t manage to get any of the targeted parts. A shame, but it can happen.
In this case, the steps end here and, since there’s no need to return anything, you can just call it quits, but you will still need to update info on your DATABASE sheet. More info about this is in the DATABASE section.
OR
The squad managed to get one or more targeted parts. In this case, keep reading.
The host will invite everyone to his Dojo. Then, each member will return the targeted parts to the host, simple as that.
Now that the host has all the parts, it’s time for you to contact a Part Holder and handover the parts. For this, head to《🥣》white-soup-store , open the appropriate Collection Box, and simply follow the rules and examples on the pins or on the first messages.
Now, you DO need to take screenshots of the trades with the part holder you trade with. It is important because they will have to be uploaded to your DATABASE so you can be rewarded. You can either take the SS when:
You have put the parts in
The confirmation screen in which you both see what you have put appears
When the “The trade was successful!” screen appears
How to use and upload pictures on the DATABASE will be explained in its section.
STEP 5: UPDATING DATABASE SHEET
And lastly, all you have to do is simply update your sheet with all the information regarding your relics and parts as a Runner. Information about this will be explained in its section
RUNNER TIP #4: If you are someone who tends to forget things you own, from the moment you acquire a relic, you can already note them down in your sheet. This way, you won’t forget all the necessary information and you can easily keep track of them
EXTRA: FISSURE MISSIONS
Do keep in mind that, usually, you will want to run short, straight-forward fissures like Exterminate, Capture, Rescue or some Sabotages.
However, there are certain people that would prefer to run Defense missions (especially since DE reduced the waves to 3 per relic opened). If you wish to be one of those people, here is a guide by Gunix that goes into detail on how to run them.
