Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Practices (PBIS)

Welcome to our TRE PBIS page!

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports practices are the means by which we seek to address student behaviors in ways that result in more motivated, confident, and academically successful students.

An important first step to successfully implement PBIS practices is the creation and communication of clear behavioral expectations. The Timber Ridge Elementary Behavior Matrix summarizes these expectations for students. This matrix is displayed in multiple areas around our school, as well as reviewed with our students quarterly by teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Titan Tickets

As students successfully demonstrate our TRE behavioral expectations, they are rewarded with Titan tickets. These tickets may be distributed by any member of our faculty and staff as students are caught being awesome around the school building!

PBIS Store

As students earn Titan tickets throughout each month, they may choose to save them up for a visit to our school PBIS store. At the PBIS store, students may "cash in" their Titan tickets to reward themselves for their great behavior!

Top Titan

In addition to earning Titan tickets for demonstrating expected behaviors, our teachers choose a Top Titan each month from their homeroom. These chosen students exemplify a specific character trait that has been highlighted for the month.
