How to engage
There are a number of ways to engage with our Committee.
Follow us on LinkedIn. We regularly share Committee information, events, and related opportunities through our LinkedIn page. You can also share information you feel would be beneficial to other Tribal transportation practitioners. https://www.linkedin.com/company/trb-standing-committee-on-native-american-transportation-issues/
Become a friend of the Committee. While formal membership on TRB committees is limited through TRB's policies, anyone is welcome to become a friend of a committee, receive information and updates, and participate in committee activities. AME30 welcomes participation from friends of the committee and often recruits future committee members from this group. https://www.nationalacademies.org/trb/programs/technical-activities-division/our-volunteers
Volunteer to help the Committee. Members, friends, and anyone else interested in Tribal transportation issues is welcome to volunteer for Committee events and functions. Regular volunteer activities include annual and mid-year committee meeting planning and annual meeting paper and presentation review. Interested people should contact the Committee chairperson for details.
Be a liaison from a partner Committee or Organization. Individuals that are members of other committees (within or outside TRB) organizations engaged in issue important to Tribal transportation practitioners are encouraged to participate as members, friends, or through other volunteer activities. If you are interested in building a stronger relationship between your group and AME30, please reach out to the chairperson for more information.
