Hello!
This assist page should provide all the needed info to connect to the flight planning room printer.
The printer is the Xerox C8030, located beneath the room's row of windows. Please attempt to follow the below instructions.
If one method does not work, move to the next. If all do not work, please let AMOPS know at the counter.
!! READ>> **Please Note** Printing from Adobe PDF reader?*************************
If Adobe was already open when you successfully mapped to the printer, you must first close adobe then re-open it in order for Adobe to successfully print. Even though the newly mapped printer may show in the list of available printers within the Adobe print screen, it will not print until you've closed the Adobe software and opened it again.
On computer desktop, locate and double-click on file named:
"60 OSS - BLDG P4 - RM 107 (Xerox C8030) (xdat-qs-001v) - Shortcut"
Printer should now be mapped to your computer workstation profile.
If this file is not on your desktop, move to the next method.
Highlight and copy the following text:
\\xdat-fs-001v\60og$\60og_60oss\07 - Airfield Ops (OSAA)\Airfield Management\9. Flight Planning room Printer Assist
Use key command "Windows Key + S". Then paste copied text into the windows search bar that appears and press enter.
Double click the file titled:
"60 OSS - BLDG P4 - RM 107 (Xerox C8030) (xdat-qs-001v) - Shortcut"
Printer should now be mapped to your computer workstation profile.
If this method is not successful, please try the next one.
Highlight and copy the following text:
\\xdat-qs-001v
Use key command "Windows Key + S". Then paste copied text into the windows search bar that appears and press enter.
Type "P4" into search bar in pop up file explorer window, hit enter.
Double click printer titled "60 OSS - BLDG P4 - RM 107 (Xerox C8030)"
Printer should now be mapped to your computer workstation profile.
This isn't the most graceful method of printing, but it does work if nothing else does.
This method is useful if the shared network is down.
In Google Chrome (doesn't work in other browsers), open: https://132.33.246.124/print/print.php
At the bottom, click "Advanced".
Then click "proceed anyway".
Click the "Print" tab at the top.
On this page, you may print a file by uploading that file using the "Choose file" button.
Once the file has been chosen, click "Submit Job". This will send to printer.
Helpful note if using this method:
If you can't seem to create a file to upload, you can press the "PrtScrn" key on the keyboard (above the "Insert" button).
Then you can open Microsoft paint and use the key combo "Ctrl + V" to paste your screen shot.
Crop photo if you wish, then save to desktop (or folder of your choice).
Now you have an image document you can use when using the "Choose file" button from above.
To Scan documents to your computer from this printer, check this page out.
