4 AWESOME PLACES TO VISIT Make the most of your destination by how you travel it. So, save your bucket list because we are going around the world to the most unique and beautiful places just for you!
no.1 Paris, France
Paris, France has a lot of American tourists but they still respect the French culture. The macarons and other bakery essentials are to DIE for and don't even get me started on the fashion! The popular kids TV show called "Miraculous Ladybug" captures Paris in its exquisite beauty of crime-fighting and bread-eating adventures. The characters even have the original French theme song. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most popular structures in the world due to it being so tall. Just remember to be careful about taking pictures of it at night. The men and women there are so good looking that you'll never want to leave (trust me). Rumor has it that true love originated from that very place so live your "Emily in Paris" dream for the summer and explore that fabulous city that everyone loves so much.
It’s nice and warm outside, and you want to travel! Then there’s a dreadful thought, packing. Almost nobody likes to pack. Luckily, we have a list of things that should help you out! Of course, there are the main essentials that you need no matter what time of year it is. Your toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss. Next are your hair essentials, hairbrush, accessories, hairspray, and comb. I always bring my own soap. It makes me feel better knowing that my choice of smell is healthy for my hair. You can get some travel-sized soap bottles from almost any Walmart; some even have their own brands, such as Dove.
Since it’s warm, you definitely don’t want to forget your deodorant. If you are a contact wearer or you have glasses, make sure to bring your contact solution and your glasses case. If you are bringing any sort of electronics, bring a charger. Maybe even an extra one because they are super easy to lose! A lot of us have little. I’d definitely recommend bringing extra diapers. At least twice as many as you think you’ll need because they love to surprise us! Bring some extra wipes, as well as any diaper cream. Traveling can make it hard on their bottoms, so diaper cream will be very useful.
no.2 Argentina, South America
If you love soccer, the tango, and Spanish cuisine, you should totally go! The weather is hot but has a nice breeze, the food is always fresh in every restaurant, and the architecture of every home is unique. I would suggest Argentina to be the perfect summer vacation because of how beautiful it is during that season especially. The wine is apparently "golden" there, as the locals drink it with every meal, even the young ones! They speak Spanish there so you might have to use some translation tools to help you out there but if you're lucky, some are bilingual. Overall, I would visit if I were you because of the sights you'll see and the people you'll meet.
The sports games are also fun to go to, every team has their colors like blue and white to represent their nations flag and most families grow up liking that team generation after generation. Their flag is also unique due to the light blue banners and sun symbol in the middle.
no.3 Rome, Italy
Rome Italy is considered one of the most gorgeous cities in the entire world and is Italy’s largest city and also the capital. Rome is located in Lazio region of central Italy, with the Tiber flowing through the city.
The city has a lot of beautiful sights to see, one of these sights that people like to see when visiting Rome is the Colosseum. The Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world. It is 1,937 years old, was completed in 80 AD. The building is oval shaped, 156 meters wide, 189 meters long, and almost 50 meters tall.
The Fontana di Trevi or also known as Trevi Fountain, is one of the most striking fountains in the world. This fountain is one of the oldest water sources in Rome, it provides water for baths and water for fountains of central Rome. In the middle of the fountain, there is a statue of Oceanus standing under a great arch and the two sea horses pulling his chariot, one is wild, and one is compliant, they represent the moods of the sea. When you visit the Trevi Fountain, you can toss some pennies into it and make a wish, but it is illegal to steal the coins from the Trevi Fountain.
Patheon is another place in Italy that you might want to go see. the Patheon was originally built as a temple that was dedicated to the pagan gods. For almost two millennia, it has been a place of worship. The word Patheon is a Greek word that means “honor all Gods”, and during the Roman Empire, this building had a special meaning. The Patheon is a church, and you can get in for free, people usually spend around 20 minutes inside.
The Sistine Chapel is another breath-taking place to visit in Rome. It is apart of the Vatican Museums within the Vatican City, so you’ll have to purchase some tickets to see the Sistine Chapel. If you’re up to taking a stroll and get your steps in, it takes at least two hours to walk through the most important rooms of this chapel. The Sistine Chapel is covered with frescoes by Michelangelo, and all his beautiful work covers the ceiling and back wall above the altar.
Rome has all the gorgeous sights to see, and they also have delicious food to try. One of the most famous foods in Rome is Pasta all’Amatriciana. The Pasta all’Amatriciana is made from bucatini pasta, guanciale, pecorino cheese, tomatoes, and fresh pepper. Another dish that you can find all over Italy, but it’s a must eat when visiting Rome is Cacio e pepe which translates to “cheese and pepper.”
Make sure Rome is on your bucket list, you can enjoy the delicious food and visit some of the famous sites, that you will remember for a lifetime!
no.4 Slovakia, Central Europe
Also known as the Slovak Republic, this country is an amazing place to visit. They have certain customs that even tourists must abide by so it's all equal and fair. They're most famous for their castles and soups, even one of the towns called Bratislava is the most populated. A lot of weird history and historical sites are in Slovakia like the "Stara Bystrica Astronomical Clock" and the "Church of St Elizabeth". It's also the most crime free country in Europe. I would recommend the Halusky fest that they have every year in Slovakia to celebrate the most well known food of all time. Its a cheesy potato dish that instantly melts in your mouth. Its a very Catholic nation so people will be well dressed at all times since the dress code here is very different. I call it the "Nun Nation" for them all being so modest. The customs there are that Men are the fairest. I would suggest to dress for the fun and not for the weather since all you will need is a light jacket if it gets chilly at night. A lot of children roam the streets at night so be careful where you walk or drive to. Bratislava also has a lot of wealthy people in that area due to its high population so dress to impress. There are barely any English speakers there so bring Google Translate or a book to help and guide you. The locals might look at you funny, but they will usually try to help you out. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and some gold jewelry to flaunt around in!
*WHICH PLACE WILL YOU VISIT?
COLD ESSENTIALS:
Taking a trip anywhere is very fun! Going anywhere besides your hometown is probably one of the best things anybody does. There are a few things that you should pack up, especially for when you’re going somewhere that is very cold. Depending on how long you will be there is also very important to what you might need. No matter how long you’ll be there, I’d say to pack an extra outfit or two. You never know when you might need them, especially if it’s snowing and your clothes get soaked.
As I mentioned above, pack an extra outfit or two. The outfits should consist of two-three sweatshirts, some warm pants, jeans, or sweats. It doesn’t matter unless you have a special occasion: some long or short-sleeved shirts. I do not recommend taking any tank tops or spaghetti straps unless those are what you typically sleep in—a good-sized coat, depending on what the weather looks like it’s going to be. I’d recommend getting a heated jacket because it is very nice, especially for those who get extremely cold. Bring a few scarves. I have a very flattering one that is good-looking for Christmas, but I can always wear it whenever—one to three beanies, especially if your trip is going to be about a week long. Beanies are incredibly nice in cold weather, but bring extras because you never know if they will get dirty. Most people say to bring one pair of shoes, but I don’t. Anyone should bring at least two, especially in the winter/cold times. You may need boots if it snows or is extremely wet outside and a pair of tennis shoes in case it’s cold but dry. Don’t forget socks! Nice warm socks would be perfect, especially when you plan to spend outside. But I’d bring some regular cotton socks in case you decide you're not going anywhere on one of the days you’re on vacation. That way, your feet don’t get too heated, and they don’t stink! I'd recommend the same clothes if you have little ones, except for at least three or four days extra. Kids are known to be messy. If there’s a puddle outside, they’ll jump in it and soak, at the very least, their socks. I’d also recommend bringing two extra pairs of shoes for them as well. Your pajamas are also a necessity. I’d suggest getting one that’s very warm, just in case, but also whatever you typically sleep with. Definitely bring whatever sports gear you need. You can sometimes purchase or rent them, depending on where you go, but having them packed means you’re ready to go!
After the clothes and essentials come the typical ones. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. If you have little ones, make sure to pack extra diapers. No matter how many you think you need, you will likely need more! Bring extra wipes and diaper cream for them. Make sure to pack extra snacks! I don’t know about you, but I like to bring my own soap. You can get the travel-size empty bottles you can fill with your own soap. Some stores have different brands of soap in travel-sized bottles as well. Bring a hairbrush, or a comb, depending on what you use, and any makeup you use daily. I always bring a curling iron and hair spray in case I want to use them. Bring your contact case, solution, or glasses case if you have contacts or glasses. Don’t forget your chargers and any electronics you need to bring. Depending on how many people are going with you, I’d try and pack one pillow and one blanket for each person. I know that my kids and I prefer to have our own things that we usually sleep with on our trips. It makes us feel a lot better.
Packing for a trip is stressful in itself. Having a list of things makes it much easier to pack and feel better. I’m sure some people might alter this list or add things to it, but I always try to pack what I need. I always try to find a nearby store and get it there if I forget something. Don’t forget to have a great time on your trip!
WARM NECESSITIES:
During the warm weather, most of us like to wear shorts, and either a T-shirt or tank top. Depending on how long you will be gone, I’d recommend bringing two extra pairs of clothes for yourself and maybe two-three extras for any littles that are also going. Speaking of outfits, what do you typically wear as an outfit? I know for myself I will usually wear undergarments, shorts, and either a T-shirt or a tank top, it all just depends on how warm it is. Usually, when it’s warm, it gets a little chilly at night. In case this happens, bring a couple of pairs of pants, as well as two sweaters. I usually think of camping when I think of warm weather and traveling. So remember to bring any equipment you need depending on where you go and what you are doing. If you’re going camping, there are quite a few things you’ll need to remember. Your tent, a camping trailer, a heater just in case, pillows, blankets, food, water, coffee. You won't need any camping supplies if you’re simply going to a hotel. Regardless of where you go and what you do, I’d say bring a pillow and a blanket. One for each person that is going. Somebody that’s going with you might want to sleep and take a nap, or maybe they’re like my family and me and prefer to have our own sleeping supplies. Don’t forget your pajamas; since it is a little warmer, you can bring the ones you usually wear. Just don’t forget that it may get cold at night and prepare in case it does. I’d also recommend bringing a swimming suit. You never know if you and your family want to go swimming. Most people like to do that when it gets warm, and it’s always good to be prepared. Speaking of swimming, don’t forget your sunscreen! Sunscreen is especially important if you have littles. You don’t want them to get a bad sunburn and ruin their little vacation because they are hurting. Not only sunscreen but also OFF! When it gets warm, that’s when the bugs start to come out. Having any sort of bug spray will help. Most importantly, having a bug spray that wards off mosquitos is a big help. It’s very annoying when your arm, leg, or back itches because of a bug bite. You can also get a nice beach hat! They are very cute, and they help block the sun. I’d also recommend bringing at least two pairs of shoes. One for a while walking a long way, such as tennis shoes, and sandals for when you do something like go to the beach. And you’ll also need socks. There are so many lightweight socks that will not make your feet overheat like they would if they were wool.
