Hoi An

How to spend a week ?

Day 1: Morning - Walk around the old city, Cyclo (Two people bicycle with a driver). Evening - take a boat with lanterns on Thu Bon River (Bach Dang Street near the An Hoi Bridge)

Day 2: Bicycle tour, coconut boat, cooking workshop. We had Ly as our guide and she was great. Feel free to message her directly on Whatsapp (+84 90 580 61 85)

Day 3: Pottery village. Just a few KMs from Hoi An, nice attraction for the kids. The can play with clay, buy some stuff and walk around the neighborhood.

Day 4 : Bicycle tour with a guide to Cẩm Kim island and stopover to see the man weaving the bamboo basket boat, after that we continued to Trà Nhiêu. Amazing local experience.

Day 5: Travel to My Son and seeing local dancers and world heritage old building. Very nice nature. We used a local driver that cost us 700K VND, for return trip to My son and back to Hoi An.

Where to stay in Hoi An?

Sunrise Hotel. Amazing option for family, we traveled with young kids, 3 and 6 YO. Spa is amazing, they understand english and what does it mean to be gluten free. Good breakfast, super friendly team. It takes 15 minutes to get to the old city, and cost around 4 USD by Taxi/Grab.

Where to eat?

We had so many recommendations for restaurants, please see a few places we went and had great time:

Morning Glory: Great Vietnamese food. Quite cheap.
Minh Hien: A vegetarian option, has a beautiful garden that you can sit outside.
Mix: If you feel like Greek food, a nice place to try.
Secret Garden: A beautiful secret garden to have great Vietnamese food.

Traditional Cao Lau: Cao lau Lien, only open 3-5pm ish, first come first served. Sometimes they finish very early. It's one of locals'fave
Trung Bac Restaurant; You can get Cao Lau, my quang or a number of other local food here..
