Dr. Janice Carello is an Associate Professor at Pennsylvania Western University and currently serves as MSW Field Director. She received her Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo where she also earned her MSW degree and a Certificate in Trauma Counseling. Her scholarship focuses on retraumatization in educational settings and trauma-informed approaches in higher education. She is the co-editor of Trauma-Informed Pedagogies, Lessons from the Pandemic, and Trauma and Human Rights. She also publishes trauma-informed teaching and learning resources on her Trauma-Informed Teaching and Learning blog.

Dr. Kim Hardner is an Associate Professor in Social Work at Pennsylvania Western University and currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Social Work, Sociology and Human Services. Kim completed her DSW with an emphasis on leadership and education at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Her scholarship focuses on using a trauma informed lens to advance equity and inclusion in social work programs and higher education.
