Testing and Data Analysis

The following data was obtained through informal trials on non rodent animals. The surface area of the animal was estimated and calculated using ImageJ software. The false bottom of the rodent restraint was used as reference since its dimensions are already known. For calculation purposes, it was assumed that the length of the area of interest was approximately 8 inches and the weight of the animal was around 500 grams or 1.1 lbs.
