Phat T. Tran-Truong, Msc. (Vietnamese: Tran Truong Tuan Phat) is currently a lecturer/researcher at the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University (HCMUT, VNU-HCM). He completed both a research-based Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree (Honors) in Computer Science from HCMUT, VNU-HCM in 2023 and 2020 respectively.
Research interests: Data security & privacy, machine learning (ML)/ deep learning (DL), cybersecurity and decentralised systems (but not limited).
Research statement: The transdisciplinary nature of these fields necessitate a strong foundation in state-of-the-art & state-of-the-practise ML/DL techniques to understand their vulnerabilities and leverage them to identify potential weaknesses. Similarly, expertise in data security, privacy, and cybersecurity is crucial. I have studied and applied a wide range of techniques in these areas, including access control techniques (attribute-based, identity-based,.etc), data anonymization techniques (k-anonymity, l-diversity,.etc) differential privacy, homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, federated learning, and decentralised systems (or blockchain), .etc.
