By participating in the survey, you agree to the following conditions (You will receive more information in the Informed Consent after clicking the link below)


Requirements for participation:

All participants of this study must identify as transgender (gender identity is different from gender assigned at birth), be at least 18 years of age, be U.S. residents, have Internet access, and self-report English fluency.


Purpose of the research:

The purpose of this survey will be to understand how oppression and stigma impact mental health and resilience factors among diverse transgender individuals. We hope to inform future research, policy, and clinical care.


Duration of participation in the research:

This study will have two parts: Time 1 and Time 2. If you agree to participate in Time 1 after reading this consent form, you will take an online survey that should take about 45-60 minutes. After completing the Time 1 survey, you will be asked to take part in a Time 2 survey six months later, which will also take about 45-60 minutes to complete.


Confidentiality:

You have the right to privacy, and all personal identifying information will remain confidential unless otherwise required by law. The Principal Investigator (PI) and Transgender Trauma and Growth Study Research Team are the only individuals who will have access to the data obtained in this study. Results may be published anonymously in scientific journals or be presented at psychological meetings or conferences. The email that you provide for follow-up and to be entered into our raffle with not be linked to your data and your identity will remain confidential. Data will be stored securely on the Qualtrics online survey website and will be exported onto an encrypted, password-protected laptop.
