To facilitate our work, we have formed two action groups. You can think of these as subcommittees. They are responsible for moving different pieces of our work forward. The goal is that these action groups will, in aggregate, help us build programming, function and governance structure to help us move the Transportation Equity Hui toward a successful future. You can find a brief description about each of the action groups at the bottom of the page. Please use the below form to volunteer for one or more of our action groups.
Active membership in either of the action groups typically involves around two meetings per month via zoom. If you are interested in either of the two action groups, please email our project manager at keopu.reelitz@gmail.com.
The sustainability action group works on governance, identity and other issues related to keeping the working group moving for years to come. The action group works to build recommendations for the structure, processes and funding options for the hui. If you are interested in being a part of the work or learning about building and maintaining coalitions, we encourage you to join this group.
The capacity-building action group helps us identify what areas we would like to build capacity as well as propose and plan activities to complement those needs. The work also involves helping the hui identify its focus areas and functions. We encourage anyone who is interested in diving into function and activity planning to join this action group.
