MTA currently has a new COVID "Vaccination or Test" program. It is a program that allow employees the option of either getting vaccinated or getting tested at over 130 locations - and on company time! (Check with your supervisor for further details.) There are currently 2 test options available: nasal or saliva. Testing is available and open to all MTA employees and it is FREE! If you have not been vaccinated, make sure you get a weekly test. Not only is it required, but it helps you and your fellow workers know that proper efforts are being made to ensure everyone's safety. Vaccinated or not, one can still catch the virus and it is always good to be on the safe side and take a COVID test regularly. It is an opportunity for all of us to take care of ourselves and each other.
This is definitely a great example of the MTA's commitment to being an βEmployer of Choiceβ. π Why? It shows a conscious effort to acknowledge the diverse groups and individuals that this organization is comprised of as well as respecting our differences, providing choices without being judgmental and doing everything possible to keep us and our customers safe and healthy. MTA has provided an option whereas many other agencies and companies have simply imposed a vaccination mandate with no options. That choice is available and itβs up to you not to waste the opportunity.
For many (as youβve seen in the news/media) vaccination is preferred, but if you choose not to vaccinate, please be sure to make every effort to do your weekly Covid testing. Please help spread the word to your colleagues about the MTA COVID Vaccination or Test program.
Vax or unvax, please remember to be kind and respectful to each other!
Stay Safe and Be Healthy! πππ
New locations are added weekly!
