This Privacy Policy describes how BeatStride ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
BeatStride is designed to protect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal or health data to our servers or any third parties for our own use. Your health data is processed and stored only on your device.
To support the development and maintenance of the App, we use Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. Google AdMob may collect and process certain information to serve ads. This may include, but is not limited to:
Device Identifiers: Such as the advertising identifier on your device.
IP Address: For ad-serving and basic geographic targeting.
Device Data: Including your device type, operating system, and ad-serving metadata.

With your explicit permission, the App accesses your health data from the Apple HealthKit framework on your device. We access the following types of data:

Average Heart Rate
This data is used exclusively to calculate and display your Heart Efficiency Index within the App. This health data remains on your device and is not shared with Google AdMob or any other third party.
Your health data and any related calculations are stored only on your device. The App does not sync your health data to any cloud service.
HealthKit Permissions: You can revoke the App's access to your health data at any time through the Settings app on your iPhone, under Health > Data Access & Devices.
Ad Tracking: On iOS 14.5 and later, you will be asked for permission to track your activity across apps for advertising. You can manage this and limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings.
BeatStride is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
