五四. 如封似閉
(一). 由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣, 兩腳不動, 後坐右腿, 身右擰, 同時左掌沿右肘下面外側向前刺, 右拳变掌由左腕上向後收至兩腕相對置, 面東北, 目視雙掌, 如圖150。
Posture 54. Apparent Close Up
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Keeping both feet in place, sit back on the right leg and twist the body towards the right. At the same time, move the left palm underneath the outer edge of the right elbow and along [the forearm] to stab forward. [At the same time], change the right fist into a palm, and draw [the right palm] back until on top of the left wrist. Face the northeast and look at both palms, as in Figure 150.

(二). 由前式腰繼續向右後擰, 兩手雙[扌+履] 至腰兩側成陽掌, 如圖151。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, continue to twist the waist towards the right rear and roll back [lu] with both hands until they end as Yang palms at either side of the waist, as in Figure 151.

(三). 由前式鬆腰起身左轉, 同時右腿蹬開成左弓步, 徐徐沉氣, 同時兩掌隨身起上提與口同高時, 配合擰身, 兩手成陰掌向前双按, 面對東北, 目視雙掌, 如圖152。
(3) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and raise the body while turning towards the left. At the same time, begin to push through the right leg to end in a left bow stance. Slowly sink the Qi. At the same time that the body raises, lift both palms to mouth height. Then when the body twists [left], push [àn] both [hands] forward as Yin palms. Face the northeast and look at both palms, as in Figure 152.
