卅九. 摟膝拗步
(一). 由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣,左腳落地成左弓步。同時左手下落護襠, 摟至左膝外側; 右手由右耳側向前贯出按平成陰掌, 徐徐沉氣, 面西, 目視右掌, 如圖118。
Posture 39. Brush Knee Twist Step
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Drop the left foot on the ground to end in a left bow stance. At the same time, drop the left hand down to guard the groin, and then draw it across to the outside of the left knee. Move the left hand to the side of the right ear, and then pierce it forward and push [at shoulder] level with a Yin palm. Slowly sink the Qi. Face the west and look at the right palm, as in Figure 118.

(二). 由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣,左腳尖先向外撇開, 右腳前進一步成右弓步, 同時右掌先護面再下落襠前摟至右膝外側; 左掌向後上繞, 經左耳側向前贯出, 徐徐沉氣, 面西, 目視左掌, 如圖119。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. At first turn the left toes outward, and then advance the right foot one step forward to end in a right bow stance. At the same time, at first use the right palm to guard the face. Then, drop [the right hand] down in front of the groin and draw it across to the outside of the right knee. Coil the left palm up towards the rear, pass it by the outside of the left ear, and then pierce it forward. Slowly sink the Qi. Face the west and look at the left palm, as in Figure 119.
