Privacy Policy — Grab Support Translation

Grab Support Translation is a Chrome extension used to support an internal customer-support translation workflow.
1. Purpose
The extension helps authorized support agents translate selected text between English, Khmer, and Burmese while working in approved support workspaces.
2. Data Handled
The extension may access and process information selected by the user on supported pages and information entered or displayed in the translation panel. This may include:
- selected case or message text
- source and target language choices
- translation results shown in the panel
3. How Data Is Used
The data is used only to:
- perform requested translations
- display results in the extension panel
- support copy-to-clipboard actions
- maintain limited local history for convenience (20items for 2hours only)
4. How Data Is Transmitted
Selected text and language settings needed for translation are sent to a controlled internal backend endpoint for processing. Transmission uses HTTPS.
5. Local Storage
The extension may use local browser storage for limited state, such as recent translation history and language preferences, in order to improve user experience and reduce unnecessary repeat actions.
6. Data Sharing
The extension:
- does not sell user data
- does not use user data for advertising
- does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension’s stated workflow purpose
7. Security
The extension is designed so that sensitive integration secrets are not exposed in client-side source code. Backend processing is handled through controlled internal services.
8. Intended Use
This extension is intended only for authorized operational use.
